Supporting Balanced Movement and Long Term Performance in Horses
Horses depend on proper movement, balance, and nervous system function to perform comfortably and stay sound. Equine chiropractic care focuses on restoring normal motion to the spine and joints so the body can move efficiently, adapt to physical demands, and function as it was designed to.
Horses often continue training, competing, or working while quietly compensating for discomfort. Over time, these compensation patterns can lead to stiffness, soreness, changes in movement, reduced performance, or resistance under saddle.
Gentle, specific adjustments restore proper motion in the spine and joints to support balance, coordination, and nervous system function.
Each session includes an evaluation of posture and movement followed by individualized chiropractic care based on the horse’s needs and workload.
Chiropractic care helps reduce compensation patterns and supports efficient movement, comfort, and long term soundness.
Why Chiropractic Care Matters for Horses
Chiropractic care is one component of supporting whole-body health. By focusing on how the body functions as an interconnected system rather than isolated areas, care is offered to help support balance, adaptability, and long-term well-being for the horse.
Supports balanced movement and stride symmetry
Reduces muscle tension and compensation patterns
Improves comfort, coordination, and willingness to work
Helps maintain long term soundness and performance
Meet Dr. Katherine Halper
Dr. Katherine Halper’s goal is to support whole health through thoughtful, individualized chiropractic care. She is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic with advanced certification in animal chiropractic care through the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. With years of experience working with both humans and animals, her approach is rooted in understanding movement, biomechanics, and nervous system function as an interconnected system.
Chiropractic care is provided in collaboration with veterinary medicine. A veterinary referral is required prior to receiving chiropractic care for dogs, in accordance with Idaho and Oregon state regulations. Chiropractic care does not replace veterinary diagnosis or treatment, but works alongside it to support comfort, mobility, and overall function.
